Received his MD in 1961 from the Paris University. Medical and scientific training in Paris and at the Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore) under L Wilkins and CJ Migeon. Invited Professor at Hopkins in 1973.Head of Pediatric Endocrinology clinical and research unit at Hopital des Enfants Malades. Developed pediatric and adolescent gynecology Unit (Paris). Main research topics were: growth plate biology, GH regulation and action, SRY and sex differentiation, hypothalamic-pituitary development and hormonal problems in cancer survivors. Member of the National INSERM Council. Founding member, Secretary-elect and President of the ESPE (1976-1982 and 1985). Andrea Prader Prize (1990). Past President of the French-ESPE- IFCA Research Fund (2012-2015). Presently, founder and director of the French pediatric endocrinology website (2010) and consulting in several French medical universities.
