Alicia Belgorosky MD, PhD, is Chairwoman of Endocrine Department, Hospital de Pediatría Garrahan, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Superior Investigator National Research Council of Argentina.
She received her MD (1973) from Buenos Aires University and her PhD (1982) from the Buenos Aires University. She was awarded with the School of Medicine Prize, Buenos Aires University (1983) for the best Thesis of the year. Her investigations are focused on the basic mechanism of human adrenal zonation and maturation of human immature testis. She is the Associated Editor of the Hormone Research in Pediatrics. She is the past President and the past Secretary General of the Latin-America Pediatric Endocrinology Society (SLEP). She is the recipient of the Argentine Clinical Research Society Prize, and Endocrine Society Outstanding Reviewer Award as a member of the Editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.
