George Werther

He trained in Medicine and Paediatrics in Melbourne and in Paediatric Endocrinology in Oxford, Cincinnati and Stanford. His research focus has been in IGFs in health and disease, focussing on IGFBP-2 in development and cancer. He is a Past-President of the Australasian Paediatric Endocrine Group, from whom he received the Norman Wettenhall Medal for scientific achievement. He also received in 2016 the ESPE International Award for Scientific Excellence.
