Lars Sävendahl is Professor of Paediatric Endocrinology at Karolinska Institutet, the Medical Director of the Division of Paediatric Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases, and the Scientific Director of Children´s and Women´s Health at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.
His major research interest is hormonal regulation of bone growth. Professor Sävendahl has supervised many postgraduate research students and post-doctoral fellows working in his lab at Karolinska Institutet. He has been active in several national and international societies. He was the past Secretary General of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE).
