Ivo Jorge Prado Arnhold MD, PhD is a Professor of Endocrinology at the University of São Paulo School of Medicine and Attending Physician at the Hospital das Clinicas in São Paulo, Brazil.
He obtained his MD in 1974 at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), residency in Internal Medicine and Endocinology at the Hospital das Clinicas FMUSP (1975-77), Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of California in San Francisco, USA (1978-80), PhD in Endocrinology at FMUSP (1988) and Professorship of Endocrinology at FMUSP in 1999. Since 1981, he works at the Unidade de Endocrinologia do Desenvolvimento and Laboratorio de Hormonios e Genetica Molecular LIM/42 FMUSP, where his clinical and translational research has focused on disorders of sex development, puberty and growth. He was a Past President (1989) and Secretary-General (2005-2007) of the Latin American Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (SLEP).
